The 2017 World Amateur Golfers Championship World Finals is also licenced by the
Sports Commissioner and received the approval from the Malaysia Golf Association.
To make the 2017 World Final in Malaysia a success, DTGLH would require
sponsorships which would cost approximately RM10 million in total for expenses like
logistics:- accommodations and transportations, on top of the tournament venue.
“On Perodua’s involvement, we are proud to announce that Perodua has been the
title sponsor since 2012 for the local chapter and the participation of the Malaysian
team abroad,” Asmat said
He said the decision to be a part of this event is based on the fact that Perodua’s
customers are from all level of the society and it believes that golf, like any other
sport contributes positively to society as it promotes self-improvement

“In that context, we have seen 6,000 amateur players experiencing the world
standard tournament in the qualifying rounds with 75 players sponsored to participate
